Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!
Today might be Thanksgiving, but at its core, it’s still just a Thursday—so if you’re following my six simple rules, there’s no need to overthink it. This day is about so much more than just the feast; it’s a time for gratitude, connection, and creating memories with loved ones.
Let’s celebrate all the activity and joy around Thanksgiving while staying mindful of how we treat ourselves. Take a moment to check in with your body, honor your hunger, and enjoy every bite of your favorite dishes guilt-free. Don’t forget to stay hydrated, fit in a stroll (maybe even hit those 10,000 steps!), and savor the company of those around you without distractions.
Here’s a little food for thought: if we multiply 21 meals per week by the days left in the year, there aren’t too many opportunities left to show our meals the love and care they deserve. Today is one of those special chances, so let’s make it count.
Remember, it’s not just the food on the table that nourishes us—it’s the laughter, connection, and peace we share with others. This is medicine for the soul.
